Expert Veterinary Education

Dr. Gillian Hunter BVMS, MS, MPhil, MRCVS is a 2002 graduate of Glasgow Veterinary School with over 10 years of experience in small animal emergency practice in both the UK and USA.  In 2020 she became a Recover-certified BLS and ALS Instructor and is now offering in-person workshops based on the Recover Initiative 2024 Guidelines covering Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Life Support (ALS) for veterinary professionals in Edinburgh, Scotland.

'Howard' is the name of the simulator we will use for the ALS section of the course.  He is based on the high fidelity simulator model developed at the Cornell Vet School specifically for Recover workshop training.  I built him myself during lockdown from parts bought over the internet.  He is designed to interface with the ALS scenarios and make them more realistic for participants.  He is most definitely a crossbreed but I think he probably has shepherd in his ancestry somewhere!
